Now Hiring: Union Human Resources Specialist
We are seeking a Union HR Specialist to support essential human resources functions related to union operations. This role is responsible for managing union employee enrollment, benefits administration, employee classification and status changes, and coordinating with the Trust Office and Union Locals. Serving as a key liaison between field operations and union representatives, the Union HR Specialist ensures clear communication and alignment on labor-related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the primary liaison between field employees, the Boudreau Management Team, HR, and union
representatives, leveraging knowledge of the LiUNA Master Labor Agreement (MLA).
• Coordinate monthly union enrollments for new field hires and communicate with Union Locals, the
Trust Office, Payroll, HRIS, and management to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Manage all union-related employee status changes, update records in HRIS, and communicate changes
with Payroll and the Trust Office.
• Provide monthly new hire reports to the Trust Office and distribute updated annual dues information
from Union Locals to Payroll, HR, and management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Union Locals and the Trust Office; coordinate and attend
quarterly visits.
• Distribute written notifications to union employees regarding union dues, including missed payments or
related matters, in coordination with Payroll and Union Locals.
• Support employee relations and internal communications at management’s discretion.
• Identify inefficiencies in HR-union processes, recommend improvements, and implement changes to
enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and union policy matters; provide clear
guidance on policies, procedures, and general HR issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including union applications and employee files, within the
digital filing system.
• Support onboarding processes and data entry for Trust and union tracking reports.
• Participate in or lead internal audits to ensure compliance with union agreements, labor laws, and
company policies.
• Stay current with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Fluency in Spanish required; ability to read and write in Spanish is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two to four years of verifiable, related HR experience.
• Experience in unionized environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with HRIS, benefits administration, and payroll systems.
• Working knowledge of labor laws and union regulations.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus, but not required.

• Must be able to work and walk in physical location of crew sites.
• Must be able to work in adverse outdoor weather conditions.
