Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Marketing Assistant must have strong organizational skills, creativity, experience coordinating or helping to coordinate events, and have the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for assisting with a variety of marketing initiatives, projects, and campaigns. This role will support the following initiatives: public relations activities, employee engagement, digital marketing, social media postings/analytics, coordinating/attending trade shows, and administrative tasks to ensure the execution of all marketing activities.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Event Coordinating
    • Association/ Sponsor events
      • Assist with registration and keeping a log of all sponsorships
      • Attend all events, may include a tabletop booth setup
      • Excellent and professional communication skills during events
      • Assist with planning and working the annual charity car show
    • Employee events
      • Assist as needed to help with employee appreciation events
      • Attend monthly luncheons at jobsites and take photos
  • Digital Marketing
    • Social Media
      • Create exciting new content to drive new followers on our Meta accounts
      • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar
      • Assist with data analytics and maintain social media accounts; LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
    • Newsletter
      • Collaborate with HR for employee newsletter content
      • Design graphics to include in the newsletter
      • Assist with other digital material as assigned
    • Video Management
      • Attain a drone license to fly at jobsite projects if you are currently unlicensed
      • Assist with video editing
      • Upload final jobsite videos to YouTube and social media accounts
    • Website Management 
      • Ability to update content on the website
      • Monitor web analytics 
  • Administration 
    • Assist with ordering branded incentives, samples, and safety workwear
    • Maintain a log of all inventory stock
    • Create/order new business cards and name badges for new and current employees
    • Assist with processing invoices and check request
    • Assist with ordering print collateral from print vendors

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to maintain and develop business relationships with vendors and clients

· Must be resourceful and a self- starter with a CAN-DO attitude

· Strong communication with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Experience with Canva, Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop is a plus.

· Experience with video editing and drone footage is a plus. Must be licensed to operate a drone or attain a license while employed with the company.

· Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is highly desirable.

 

Additional Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a minimum of 3 years’ experience working full-time in related field preferred.

· Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may include evenings and weekends. Work from the office with the possibility of a future hybrid schedule.

· Ability to adapt to needs of project should it be independent work or working within the team.

· Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and reliable transportation

· Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for long periods of time.

· Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds occasionally and as needed.

· Ability to lift, push and pull materials to complete assigned job tasks.

 

 

Pay Range:  $20.00 - $26.00/hr based on experience
