The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Management team on planning, and facilitation of projects.

• Assist Project Manager in develpoing project plans, scheudled and budgets
• Assist in the coordination and communication of the project activities with team members, stakeholders, and vendors 
• Assist with creating job master purchase orders to input into accounting software
• Assist with identifying investigate and explain job budget variances
• Assist with data entry, filing, retrieving faxes and scanning documents into job folder
• Participate in project meetings and documenting meeting minutes 
• Update accounting software with relevant information as needed.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Estimating department to secure pricing for various materials using existing and potential new suppliers.
• Assist Field Superintendents with miscellaneous job issues as required.
• Print plans/addendum/notices from various plan sites.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required 
• Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies 
• Some college coursework completed.  
• Excellent attention to detail 
• Highly adaptable and flexible with ability to work independently and/ or team environment 
• Highly proficient computer software skills in Microsoft Office and project management software 
• Strong organization, record-keeping and follow-up skills
• Ability to read and understand Civil Plans and understand complex project deliverables via jobsite visit
• Ability to understand written procedures, write routine documents, speak clearly, and understand multi-step written and oral instructions in English
• Demonstrate good attendance and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and good driving record.
