The Warehouse Driver is responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment between warehouse locations, job sites, and company facilities. This role ensures timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining vehicle safety, load security, and proper documentation. The Warehouse Driver plays a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring materials arrive as needed to keep projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation
  • Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbeds, stake beds, and pickup trucks, to transport tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Deliver and pick up orders from suppliers, job sites, and warehouse locations following assigned routes and schedules.
  • Verify loads for accuracy and ensure all deliveries are properly documented.
  • Secure loads according to DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Warehouse & Inventory Support
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Support inventory management by checking stock levels, staging materials for delivery, and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to ensure proper inventory rotation.
Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and securing of loads.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and trip records.
Communication & Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Lead and dispatch to prioritize deliveries and optimize routes.
  • Communicate with job site Foremen and warehouse staff to confirm delivery needs and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure timely updates on delivery status, delays, or any issues impacting material availability.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in material delivery, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Licenses: Valid Class C driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Skills:
    • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow road safety laws.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe load handling procedures.
    • Familiarity with heavy equipment and construction materials is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
  • The role involves frequent driving, loading/unloading materials, and working in various weather conditions.
  • May require occasional overtime or weekend availability based on operational needs.
 

Pay Range: $18.89-$25.19/hr based on experience.
